• To manage and support all existing applications and ensure uninterrupted availability of application environment.
  • Manage day to day technical operations on business applications.
  • Check Logs, determine errors and troubleshoot on a continuous basis.
  • Automate batch tasks using Solaris scripts.
  • Responsible for running of batches and ensuring that all backups and restores are successful.
  • Monitor, measure and fine tune application performance.
  • Support end users on any application related issues.
  • Provide data extracts and reports as needed by end users, department and management.
  • Develop business specific reports/data extracts and needed using Business Object, P/L SQL Developer / SQL developer, Microsoft BI, VBscripts.
  • Monitor WebLogic application servers. Analyse logs and alerts.
  • Evaluate and present application solutions as per business requirements specification (BRS) and briefly provided by management.
  • Ensure solutions are well documented.
  • Undertake and deliver all integration and process automation projects
  • Manage all system upgrades, change management and technological changes related
  •  To the software used.
  • Ensure applications are kept up to date as per the corporate policy.
  • To ensure capacity and performance planning is maintained.
  • To liaise with and manage third-party relationships.
  • To manage all SLA's with service providers and customers.
  • Ensure contracts renewals are done timeously.
  • Ensure change, release and version management.
  • Plan, direct & monitor the coordination of all prioritized projects within the overall approved
  • Plan, scope, budget and time frames (multi-project management). In addition, to perform all
  • SDLC and post live support activities.
  • To apply the applicable methodologies and best practices with regard to project planning,
  • analysis and design, development, management, testing, implementation and after Implementation follows up and closes out.
  • To ensure that all individual projects comply with the IS strategy, defined standards, and target application architecture.
  • To ensure that all individual project objectives are met within specified timeframes, scope and budget and are delivered according to set quality standards.
  • Reporting on projects and status.
  • Ensure procedure manuals, documents and training material are kept up to date.
  • Identify technical and managerial challenges associated with the project and Implement corrective actions
