• Lead a team of technical specialists including helpdesk support, Datacentre operations, and support, network/security operation and support and have solid hands-on experience of working in large IT infrastructure to plan, organize, direct and lead from a basis of personal knowledge of IT Operations.
  • As a Project Manager:
  • Plan, direct & monitor the coordination of all prioritized projects within infrastructure as per the overall approved plan, scope, budget and time frames (multi-project management).
  • As a Technical Architect:
  • Analyse the business requirements evaluate solutions, present for approval and manage implementation.
  • Ensure day to day monitoring of infrastructure components including servers, network, storage, and other infrastructure components.
  • Ensure proactive preventive maintenance and regular updates of Datacenter, servers, network components, and other infrastructure components.
  • Support Database Servers including IBM P series, SUN Sparc and X series servers.
  • Support Cisco Switches, Cisco VoIP and IP telephony and Polycom Video Conferencing systems.
  • Support Storage Area Network (SAN) (Preferably Netapp)
  • Support VMWARE Virtual Infrastructure for Servers and Desktops.
  • Support physical security systems at offices including CCTV and Access Controls.
  • Support email services for Blackberry and IOS devices.
  • Ensure monitoring and management of HVAC (Heat, Ventilation, and Air-conditioning) systems, UPS and alternate power systems.
  • Support integrated Building management system.
  • Support Active Directory and exchange infrastructure.
  • Support Operating systems including Microsoft, Solaris, Linux, and AIX.
  • Support remote access security and firewall management.
  • Ensure change management, release management and configuration management.
  • To ensure capacity and performance planning is maintained.
  • To establish, negotiate and manage relationships and monitor SLA's (Service Level Agreement) with service providers.
  • Ensure maximum availability of the infrastructure.
  • Ensure regular testing of DR readiness.
  • Ensure Software licenses records are kept up to date and are used optimally.
  • Prepare medium-term implementation plan in association with long-term technology plan to ensure un-interrupted migration and implementation of new systems.
  • Continuous security vulnerability assessment and upgrade of applications, operating systems, and other components to ensure compliance.
  • Ensure all firmware are kept up to date as per hardware vendor recommendation.
  • Plan and manage hardware replacement lifecycle.
  • Ensure encryptions and security of mobile devices.
  • Manage and Support replication between Head Office and Disaster Recovery systems.
  • Ensure Daily, weekly, Monthly, and Yearly backups and restores.
  • Ensuring adequate training and abilities of team members.
  • Coordinating IT infrastructure projects.
  • Implementing new hardware, infrastructure components, and technologies.
  • Provide technical leadership to the team members in resolving issues and problems.
  • Define and implement and monitor internal service level and escalation policies.
  • Evaluate the product roadmap for short and long-term uses/upgrade/replacement of technology components and present to the management team for approval.
  • Prepare medium-term implementation plan in association with a long-term technology plan to ensure un-interrupted migration and implementation of new systems.
  • Manage and develop relationships with internal and external senior stakeholders, vendors, monitor and evaluate their services
  • Maintenance of error logs and Knowledge Base.
  • Keep procedure manuals, documentation, and training material up to date.
  • Prepare and present regular update report for executives.
