As a Technical Proposal Writer you are responsible for the writing and editing of proposals/presentations in a manner which is smart, persuasive, and consistent. Proposal writers will enhance our ability to differentiate and win new business in a way that aligns with client needs while articulating our point of view. This person is also responsible for helping to manage and refine the process surrounding the development of proposals and a range of business development tools.
What you’ll be doing:
- Assess business opportunities (high level scope, project/budget parameters, business challenge and key goals)
- Review and evaluate RFP requirements and participate in Q&A meetings with prospective clients
- Assess and articulate solutions and the agencies point of view on prospects’ business challenges
- Develop strategic approaches for prospects across a wide range of industries
- Create marketing materials and pitch materials (e.g. case studies, fact sheets, process and capabilities materials as required)
- Maintain clear communication with team on proposal-development progress, including outstanding items required for timely completion
- Proactively develop tools and processes to make it simpler and quicker to complete proposals and presentations
You should bring to the table:
- 2+ years of experience that included a substantial amount of proposal writing
- Experience with a Web Design, App Development, Digital agency is required
- Ability to develop proposals and presentations that effectively communicate complex and/or distinctive concepts in a clear, concise manner
- Must be able to multi-task and prioritize to meet daily deadlines and capable of operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work with graphic design applications such as Illustrator and InDesign is a plus
- Experience with government contract writing is a plus
- Creative, technology and/or programming background is a plus
