- You must be capable of managing a Team of Janitorial Staff, Ward Boys and other Cleaning Staff.
- HouseKeeping Manager manages the daily operations of a housekeeping services department to ensure offices, Patient rooms, facilities and other specifies areas are kept in a clean and orderly condition.
- Inspects facilities, recommends upgrades when needed.
- Being a housekeeping Manager establishes workflows, standard procedures and Quality Control Plans.
- Responsible for the maintenance of vendor/supplier relationship.
- You are responsible for making Duty Roster, Staff Attendance and Labor Management in case of shortage.
- You must manage your entire staff and make sure they are performing a variety of general cleaning tasks to maintain Patient’s Rooms, Bathrooms, Offices, Corridors, Intensive Care Units, Lobbies, Roof Top, Parking, Generator Area, Waste Disposal Areas, Internal & External Windows and other assigned areas of the hospital.
- You must train your staff with regards to Washing, Mopping, Cleaning and Dusting for each specific area. As different areas of the hospital require different treatments, for example Bathrooms, Patient Rooms, Intensive Care Units etc., all have different requirements.
- You must provide your staff with Proper Cleaning Tools and Washing Liquids. These are available with the Storekeeper.
- Washing and Cleaning requires thorough procedures. Not even a single inch of the hospital should be neglected. Every Bed, Couch, Chair, Cupboard, Fan, Sink Shower etc is included in this.
- Make sure your staff Gathers, Removes and Disposes Trash and Waste materials using Health & Safety precautions. This includes removing Infected Waste, General Waste, Sharp Boxes, and Dustbins from Departments, Patient Rooms and General Lobbies on a regular basis.
- You must report Damages and Required Maintenance in rooms and public areas to the Administration.
- You will be responsible for spraying different approved Pesticides in all areas of the hospital. You will be guided on this issue from time to time.
- You must train your staff to be honest and submit any lost item to the Administration.
- You must motivate your supervisors and workers, that their honesty will be rewarded. If any mishap ever happens the staff on duty will be held responsible and legal action will be taken against them.
- You must inform the Administration if you need more labor or require any of your team members to be replaced.
- House Keeping Department is the MOST IMPORTANT department of the hospital. Hence, you are positioned at a Very Important post. You will have our full support and in return we will expect your 100% Effort, Loyalty & Commitment.
- Extensive knowledge of the functions and department processes.
