This is a new role in the company so a real opportunity for someone to come in and make it their own. As the PR and Content Manager you will line manage a handful of content writers and report to the Head of Marketing. The role will be the ‘go to’ person for all aspects of PR and you will work closely with the Senior Management team and other teams within the business to develop and deliver effective PR strategies and plans. Ideally you should have 2-5 years’ experience in PR and management to lead the transition of their PR.
• Develop and deliver PR strategy, managing a mix of strategic, planned and tactical activities• Develop a results-driven PR strategy and plan that supports the CEO, corporate and brand needs• Create content that is relevant to B2B and B2C markets• Use both traditional and digital PR activities• Build strong relationships with all employees as well as senior management• Deliver press releases, campaign materials, web content, blogs etc that create a positive impact and work closely with media
journalists to support delivery of PR• Manage and develop a strong content team, helping them to improve ways of working, processes and sharing best practices• Provide sound evaluation of all PR activities in line with agreed KPI’s to include media monitoring
Key Skills, Experience and Attitude:
• Ideally experience in a senior PR role• People focussed with a natural flair and desire to work with people to help them succeed• Excellent written and verbal communicator with extensive content writing experience• Experience of developing strategies and executing plans• Experience in understanding a technical issue and able to communicate this in simple terms• People management experience• Ability to multi task, prioritise and maintain high attention to detail• Ideally a degree in PR, journalism or English• A fun personality and good sense of humour
