Job Purpose
An IT (information technology) executive manages the information technology needs and systems of their employers, including implementing database and network designs, installing and upgrading software, ensuring systems security and troubleshooting computer issues throughout their organizations.
Requirements
- Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners
- Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
- Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests
- Providing technical support across the company (this may be in person or over the phone)
- Setting up accounts for new users
- Monitoring network usage and health status in compliance with security policies
- Provide expertise for the overall network systems infrastructure and its support as it relates to all IT technologies
- Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary
Testing new technology
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical field such as computer science or systems management
- 2-3 years of experience in IT Support and Networks
