Responsibilities
- Manage servers and technology tools
- Install and configure software and hardware
- Set up accounts and workstations
- Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
- Troubleshoot issues and outages
- Upgrade systems with new releases and models
- Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies
- Build an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals, and IT policies
Requirements
- Proven experience (minimum 3 years) as a System Administrator / Engineer or similar role
- Experience with Datacenter, Servers, RAID management, databases (SQL server), networks (LAN, WAN), Windows and Linux (basic level), Virtualization (VMware) and patch management, OS upgrades, troubleshooting problems, and ensuring maximum system availability
- Mid-level Experience with Active Directory, DNS, NTP
- Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
- Experience with PowerShell scripting
- Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication skills
- BS in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline; professional certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)) is a plus
