Job Summary

  • The Enterprise Architect is responsible for the creation, maintenance and management of IT architecture models and their lower level components.
  • They are also required to interpret, use and apply information contained within IT architecture to inform a range of business improvement activities, particularly those involved in the design, development, enhancement and maintenance of IT support systems. 
  • The Enterprise Architect is the senior level of Technical Architect.
  • The Enterprise Architect is expected to ensure that the overall ICT architecture is maintained in a coherent manner and that appropriate considerations are made for its security and quality.
  • The primary role of the Enterprise Architect is to ensure that the respective business, application, data and technology perspectives are in line with the organizations' technology and governance strategies, policies and standards. 

Main Duties

  • Drive architecture roadmap discussion in line with business strategy and digital roadmap  
  • Draw a digital roadmap based on value drivers and other internal/external parameters around product , process (e.g. Industry 4.0 targeted process capabilities), and people (e.g. skills, competencies and change management) and call out relevant and critical architecture principles and considerations
  • Define EA practice and its underlying taxonomy, methodology and tools
  • Establish an operational enterprise architecture office capable of executing EA function and governing the implementation of its resulting roadmap.
  • Develop the logical view of the current state of the Business, Data, Application, Technology artifacts
  • Provide baseline for evaluation of the current business capabilities’ organizational, process, information and technology building blocks.
  • Baseline architecture (logical) extends the high level architecture created for the vision including business, application, data and technology domains
  • Define the Enterprise Architecture roadmap in line with proposed Digital priorities and use cases.
  • Perform gap analysis and define the initiatives necessary to implement the building block changes and their related high-level specifications in line with the target business capabilities
  • Provide data consulting and data strategy for the digital plan.
  • Active participation in the enterprise architecture framework with the solution architects to create the best value for customers.
  • Participate in developing proposals and Statements of Work (SOWs) with engagement or Project team managers and Subject Matter Experts. Develop estimates and work-breakdown.
  • Facilitate the implementation teams in providing architecture governance and assist them in the evaluation of new solutions

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience of working across different Architecture layers – Data, Security, Technology and Applications, with reasonable depth in one of the architecture layers

Preferred Qualifications:

  • TOGAF certified Enterprise Architect preferred  
  •  A leader with strong communication and people skills
  • Global and multi-cultural exposure and knowledge of foreign languages is a plus
