Looking for an experienced Front-End Web Developer to join our IT team. Responsible for WordPress template optimization, evaluating plugins, and crafting compelling interactive experiences.

Day-to-day work will focus on developing new sections and features for the WordPress site, and ongoing site bug fixes and maintenance.

 Must have a strong understanding of latest industry trends.

 Responsibilities:

  •      Develop custom webpages based on designs and wireframes
  •      Design and implement new features and functionality in WordPress
  •      Maintain and guide the integrity of the website architecture
  •      Ensure all changes support an effective, responsive design
  •      Analyze, troubleshoot and fix problems as they arise
  •      Conduct quality assurance to ensure requirements and standards are met
  •      Develop with content use reuse in mind, across mobile, voice, social, and other platforms and devices

 Requirements:

  •     2+ years of front-end web development experience
  •      2+ years of development and/or web production experience in WordPress
  •      Familiarity with WordPress version 5 (Gutenberg) is a plus
  •      Fluent in WordPress theme and plugin customization
  •      Expert-level HTML5, CSS3, PHP, JavaScript, and JQuery
  •      Proficient using Git version control system
  •      Familiar with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF)
  •      Strong knowledge of responsive/adaptive design
  •      Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc.
  •      Ability to convert wireframes into working HTML pages
  •     Highly familiar with APIs, web services, and third-party platform integrations (Facebook, Twitter, Google Analytics, etc.)
  •      Experience developing data visualizations and advanced interfaces
  •      Working knowledge of web accessibility and Section 508 guidelines
  •      Photo, video and rich media content editing skills a plus
  •      Experience working in an agile development environment
  •      Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  •      Excel working in a remote environment, meaning you’re autonomous, self-driven, responsive, transparent, and self-organized
