• Assess the accuracy and completeness of financial statements and accounting records

  • Create and maintain a chart of accounts

  • Establish well-documented systems for record keeping and accounting; maintaining historical records

  • Research financial variances and analyze financial data; compiling and reconciling work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances

  • Prepare monthly reconciliations and variances comparison for revenue

  • Develop budgets and compare actual revenues to estimated revenues

  • Measure compliance with accounting and finance standards, best practices, and government regulations

  • Post customer payments by recording cash and cheque transactions.

  • Post revenues by verifying and entering transactions from fee collections and revenue deposits.

  • Update receivables by totaling unpaid invoices.

  • Verify validity of account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from sales, trade promotions, customer service departments, and from customers;

  • Resolve valid or authorized deductions by entering adjusting entries.

  • Resolve invalid or unauthorized deductions by following pending deductions procedures.

  • Resolve collections by examining customer payment plans, payment history, coordinating contact with stations.

  • Summarize receivables by maintaining invoice accounts; coordinating monthly transfer to accounts receivable account; verify totals; prepare report(s).

  • Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.

  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.

  • Accomplish accounting and organization mission by completing related tasks as needed.
