Orenda is a young company that has been providing education to undeserved populations for the past two years. We have translated the entire government curriculum for numeracy and literacy into an engaging cartoon series by the name of Taleemabad. We are now developing this cartoon series to teach 6th grade students, and are looking for individuals who have had some experience teaching children at this age. Digital Content Designer (Secondary Level) We are looking for content designerss who would be involved in developing an e-learning curriculum designed for 5th to 6th grade students. The candidate should have at least a year’s experience of teaching secondary grade subjects such as English, Maths, Urdu, General Science or Geography.He/she should have a grasp on concepts related to these subjects and should be able to articulate them in a compelling way in the form of videos. Prior experience in animation is not necessary as training would be provided. Skills Required:

Storytelling & Creativity: This position requires a high level of creativity. The candidate should be able to bring dry concepts to life through the art of storytelling, hence story writing is an essential skill. He/She should also be able to generate interest within the lessons with the help of a variety of audio-visual techniques, graphics, animation and storytelling. Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop and interest in design and animation would be highly appreciated.

Craziness: Anyone who applies needs to be a dreamer, and should have an ability to generate the most outrageous of ideas. This is a skill that makes every Orendian special at what they do, and allows us to keep on pushing the envelope in terms of what is possible in education.

Adaptability: The candidate will be required to use different mediums and techniques required for creating digital content, hence willingness and openness to learn new skills such as animation, design, on-screen appearances and doing voice-overs will be critical.

Punctuality: The candidate should have a strong work ethic and willingness to accept responsibility.Skills like ability to meet deadlines, working under pressure and timeliness are highly important.

Social Responsibility: The ideal candidate should strongly be driven by working for the cause of education. Most days at Orenda are tough, because we are trying to disrupt a system that has been in tatters for very long. A sense or purpose helps our employees pull through the most difficult of time.
