Responsibilities:

  • Create the SEO roadmap, identifying growth opportunities and working with product development and other teams to drive execution.
  • Lead research and development of keyword targeting strategies in each content category.
  • Manage tagging (GA, GTM or other analytics platform) including overall strategy, implementation, xml sitemap optimization, and troubleshooting to ensure proper site indexing.
  • Optimize existing content and identify new opportunities. Work closely with the content team to advise in the development of content for the execution of hyper growth strategy.
  • Conduct technical audits of the site. Ensure site structure and pages are optimized to attract and engage those visitors that match the profile of the target audience.
  • Design and implement a link building strategy with our Communications, Marketing and PR teams, building link equity across an expanding portfolio of domestic and international keywords.
  • Monitor and maintain site health by tracking inbound links, 404 errors, broken external and internal links, and Googlebot crawl frequency.
  • Set, and work to, key performance indicators for SEO that everyone understands and which complement overall business strategy.
  • Draw actionable insights from data to iterate and improve performance of SEO strategies and campaigns.
  • Provide timely insight into performance and work quickly to optimize that.
  • Ensure all new product developments are optimized for search.
  • Track keyword rankings to communicate wins and react proactively to rankings that drop.

Experience:

  • Hands-on experience driving SEO results in highly competitive markets, with 5+ years of in-house SEO experience
  • Proven success driving traffic growth through both technical and content-based SEO
  • Successful candidate will have a knack for boiling down complex SEO opportunities into actionable instructions
  • A comprehensive knowledge of organic search and how SEO activities influence search engine ranking algorithms
  • Managed SEO deliverables, such as keyword research and mapping, best practice guidelines, and technical SEO
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, DeepCrawl, Screaming Frog, and other technologies that inform organic search strategies
