Ox-i-Gen is looking for a Mid Level Android developer with proven experience of working on variety of Android applications. The candidate must be capable of architecting, developing and testing complex applications for a variety of Android devices.
The ideal candidate is one who has strong problem solving skills and independent self-direction, coupled with an aptitude for team collaboration and open communication.
Graduation is NOT a requirement for this position.
Required Experience:
- 2+ years of professional android development experience.
- Experience in integrating mobile applications to Web Services.
- Good understanding of MVC Design Pattern.
- Experience integrating 3rd party APIs.
- Strong programming skills in JAVA, OOPs.
- Experience in Android graphics, animation and UI designing.
- Experience with hands on Location Based Applications.
MINIMUM AND ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in various aspects of the mobile lifecycle including application development (application structure, device and operating system API’s, debugging, performance, security) and deployment
- Experience creating XML / XSD specs and Web services using SOAP- Strong analytical skills and problem solving abilities
- Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON
- Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt fast to new environments and development frameworks
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Effectively work as a member of a team
- Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes
- Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
- Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
- Ability to design applications around natural user interfaces, such as “touch”
- Familiarity with the use of additional sensors, such as gyroscopes and accelerometers
- Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
- Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
- A knack for benchmarking and optimization
- Understanding of Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
- Familiarity with continuous integration
