Pak Builders is seeking a diligent and knowledgeable Safety Officer to join our team and ensure the highest standards of occupational health and safety management at our construction sites. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of safety regulations and practices, with at least one year of experience in the field. This role requires vigilant oversight of workplace conditions to minimize hazards, promote safe behavior, and comply with legal safety requirements. The Safety Officer will work independently without managing a team but will collaborate with various departments to foster a safe working environment and reduce risks associated with construction activities.
The Safety Officer will conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits while providing guidance and training to staff on safe work procedures. The role demands excellent observation skills, clear communication of safety protocols, and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving safety concerns promptly. As a member of Pak Builders, you will play a critical role in protecting the welfare of all employees and visitors on site, supporting the companys commitment to health and safety excellence.
Responsibilities
- Perform regular inspections of construction sites to identify potential safety hazards and ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate identified risks effectively.
- Implement safety policies and procedures in alignment with company standards and legal requirements.
- Monitor and enforce the use of personal protective equipment and safe work practices by all personnel on site.
- Provide safety training and awareness programs to employees and contractors to promote a culture of safety.
- Investigate accidents or incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Prepare and maintain detailed reports on safety inspections, incidents, and compliance status.
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to integrate safety considerations into project planning and execution.
- Stay updated with changes in health and safety regulations and industry best practices to ensure continuous improvement.
- Support emergency response planning and coordinate drills to ensure preparedness on site.
