Job Description Head Counselling Department:

·         Design, Plan and implement a comprehensive school counselling program of Pak-Turk Maarif Int Schools and Colleges.

·        Direct and coordinate all counselling activities, to include coordination of other school branches counsellors and support staff.

·         Oversee the counselling department’s maintenance of accurate student progress toward graduation and academic/career plan development.

·         Promote and plan for continuous professional growth individually and for the department.

·         Coordinate and conduct activities that contribute to the effective operation of the school counselling program and school.

·         Work closely with the high school and middle school principals in the design and implementation of the schedule.

·         Maintain own knowledge of the instructional and extracurricular programs and utilizes this information in working with staff, students, parents and others to enable students to obtain maximum benefit from their school experience. 

·         Make available to students information about post-high school opportunities.

·         Oversee the application process (for Undergraduate Admission and scholarships, etc.) and ensures the timely submission of high-quality documents.

·         Provide for articulation of the guidance program by conducting regular meetings of counsellors.

·         Ensure that appropriate records are maintained by counsellors to track student progress, analyse counselling service provided and generate necessary reports.

·         Facilitate the participation of the guidance staff in professional development experiences to enhance their job-related knowledge and skills.

·         Conduct trainings as required.

Psychological Counselling

·         Conduct on-going follow-up studies of dropouts and graduates and communicates data to relevant audiences.

·         Promote on-going, two-way communications with students, school personnel, parents and others to enhance the guidance services program.

·         Examine issues including substance abuse, bullying, anger management, careers, depression, relationships, self-image and stress

·         Work with Parents and Students.

·         Ensure that appropriate records are maintained by schools to track student behavioural progress, analyse counselling service provided and generate necessary reports.
