An oil transportation is seeking a qualified and experienced HSEQ Manager to oversee and maintain the highest standards of Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality within its drivers for Transport Operations located in Karachi. This role requires a proactive professional who will develop and enforce company-wide HSEQ policies and procedures to promote a safe and compliant working environment. The ideal candidate will hold recognized HSEQ certifications such as IOSH, OSHA, or NEBOSH and possess a minimum of three years' relevant experience in the transport or logistics sector. The HSEQ Manager will conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and deliver staff training programs to ensure all operations comply with local regulatory requirements and international best practices. This position emphasizes maintaining vehicle inspections, managing driver behaviors, and executing effective incident investigations to uphold the company’s commitment to safety and continuous improvement. The role is based in Karachi and does not involve managing a team but requires strong coordination skills across departments.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and enforce comprehensive Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality policies and procedures in line with company objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Lead regular safety audits and risk assessments across all transport operations to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are timely and effective.
- Plan and deliver targeted health and safety training programs for staff to promote awareness and compliance with HSEQ standards.
- Manage driver safety and behavior programs, ensuring adherence to all relevant safety regulations and company policies.
- Oversee vehicle inspection programs to guarantee fleet compliance with HSEQ standards and operational safety requirements.
- Conduct thorough incident and accident investigations, performing root cause analysis, documenting findings, and implementing corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain alignment with all applicable local regulatory requirements, ensuring reporting and documentation are accurate and up to date.
- Coordinate emergency response planning and drills to prepare staff and operations for potential incidents.
- Continuously seek opportunities for HSEQ process improvements to enhance operational safety and environmental responsibility.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on HSEQ performance, incidents, and compliance status to management and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure all transport operations comply with ISO and other relevant standards governing health, safety, environment, and quality.
- Support management in fostering a culture of safety and environmental stewardship throughout the organization.
