JOB SUMMARY: 

To manage the operation of the QA/QC functions at project site or in Fabrication Facility by preparing and implementing Project Quality Controls Plans and Procedures in accordance with the Company QC procedures, International standards and specific contract requirements.   

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

1. Supervise and manage all Quality Control functions in the workplace and manage a team of QC Supervisors Welding/Mechanical/Civil/E&I/Telecom, all discipline QC Inspectors for day to day QA/QC functions. Ensuring that adequate trained and experienced QC staffs are available to fulfill the required tasks. 

2. Joining hands with Project QA Manager for preparation and getting client approval of Project Quality Plan, ITP’s and Technical Work Instructions in accordance with contract specifications and company/project quality management control system requirements. 

3. Interface and coordinate with clients for production and QC matters and coordinate with third party inspection agencies for all related inspection activities.

  4. Directly coordinating with construction counterpart e.g. Construction Manager for the effective QC coverage by establishing the Project Two Week Look Ahead Schedules for managing the deployment of respective QC staff during the execution of the activities. 

5. Monitoring the QC Supervisors activities and verification of quality records before submission to client and compilation. 

6. Responsible for assessing the needs well in advance for the QC coverage and assigning the QC Inspectors at project in order to provide effective inspection coverage over the ongoing activities. 

7. Monitor the project activities for the implementation of the client, vendor and company quality control system requirements and advises the Project Management Team in case of any violation

8. Provide assistance to Project QA Manager in order to Plan and undertake Subcontractor audits and reviews of Subcontractor quality management and control programs. 

9. Responsible to monitor the compilation of Inspection records and other Quality control documents and preparation of final document dossier for final client submission. 

10. Co-ordinate non conformance identification, disposition and corrective action follow up. 

11. Reporting periodically on the performance of the Quality System recommending and implementing remedial actions.

SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

1. Complies with the highest level of safety during all stages of work to avoid any type of incidents and or accidents. Take reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others in the workplace. 

2. Complies with all statutory requirements connected with the implementation of project.   

WORK EXPERIENCE: 

Minimum 10 to 20 years inspection experience which shall contain as minimum 5 Years directly relating to supervision of construction activities in the contract scope of work (Oil, Gas, petrochemical projects, infrastructure, and communication). Middle East experience must be considered as priority.  

OTHER SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES: 

Familiarity with ISO-9000 quality control system and related Mechanical, Electrical and Civil QC activities. With excellent ability in report writing, business and technical correspondence and data analysis. Possess team leadership, management and business administration capabilities and with very good negotiation and communication skills.  

ACADEMIC EDUCATION: 

Graduate of Bachelor of Mechanical, Civil, E & I Engineering; (Preferably Mechanical) Diploma in Mechanical, Civil, E & I

(Preferably Mechanical CERTIFICATIONS: CSWIP 3.1/3.2, CWI/AWS, NDT/ASNT are preferred   

LICENSES: TRAININGS: ISO Lead Assessor Training Welding ASNT  WORK CONDITIONS: Can work with less supervision and under pressure. 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS: AGE: MINIMUM – 35 years old MAXIMUM – 60 years old

DRIVING SKILLS: YES  NO  Physically strong and healthy.
