Introduction:
Pakistan Reading Project (PRP) is going to administer Early Grade Reading Assessment (EGRA) end-line for its Batch-02 schools in its all targeted regions/provinces. Purpose of this Batch-02 end-line survey is to gauge the effectiveness of its two years interventions. During the Batch-02 end-line, student of grade II will be assessed using Android based Tablet. Along with Battch-02 end-line assessment we are also going to administer Variation Study baseline in KP region for our cohort 3.
In this regards, 68 short term assignment personnel (Enumerators/classroom observers) [preferably 34 male & 34 female] are required for almost one month (maximum, different days for different region) during the month of April - May 2018.
Local candidate are encouraged to apply for their district as per district list. During this agreement Enumerators & Classroom observers will be engaged with PRP to provide following responsibilities;
Numbers required for GB (Gilgit,Skardu,Hunza Nagar)
6 (3 Males, 3 Females)
Requirements:
1. Attend 06 days training workshop to capacitate her/himself on Standardized Administration of Student Assessment Tools based on Early Grade Reading Assessment (EGRA) approach as well as Teacher & Student questionnaire.
2. Perform a day visit to school for practicing above mentioned tools and questionnaires by assessing grade I and grade II students & teachers during this workshop.
3. Travel to allocated district field and perform necessary coordination with school heads (whom responsibility will be assigned) where students and teachers will be assessed for selected schools.
4. Ensure to perform pre-school departure activities as per training before visiting any school.
5. Assess students and teachers of grade I and grade II for assigned schools using Android tablet (Tangerine).
6. Each day a single school will be visited.
7. Observes language classes of teachers of grade I/grade II for assigned schools
8. Ensure timely data synchronization with data server for uploading of data.
Education: Master degreepreferred
Experience:
· 1-2 Years Teaching experience is required
· Experience of administration of EGRA using paper-pencil/Android tablet/both is preferred
· Working with PRP data collection activities will be preferred.
· Experience with development project is an asset.
· Expertise are required to use Tablets

The USAID-funded Pakistan Reading Project, implemented by the International Rescue Committee and its partners (Creative Associates International, World Learning, and Institute of Rural Management), is a seven-year project (2013-2020) with the objective to support the provincial and regional departments of education throughout Pakistan to improve reading skills of 1.3 million children in grades one and two. The project will achieve this goal through three distinct but interrelated components that will work in synergy to affect the quality of early grade education: Improved classroom learning environment for reading, Improved policies and systems for reading, and Improved community based support for reading in Pakistan.
