Primary responsibilities may include following:

  • Leading the design, delivery and maintenance of the business intelligence program that will support institutional priorities This includes OLTP and OLAP environments
  • Providing vision and leadership to ensure maturation of business intelligence within the organization
  • Collaboratively and extensively investigating, analysing and interpreting business information needs based on a strong understanding of business processes, drivers and priorities
  • Developing and implementing governance and post-implementation evaluation over all activities to ensure outcomes achieved meet objectives
  • Identifying data quality issues and supporting information governance by participating in necessary activities and assisting in the development of and adherence to database and development standards
  • Providing high level conceptual and technical expertise and understanding of data warehousing and business intelligence best practice.
  • Develop roadmap for enterprise-wide Oracle BI applications and a data-warehouse platform.
  • Define BI architecture and data warehouse strategy working closely with a 3rd party implementation partner to install, enable, test, and deploy an out of the box Oracle Business Intelligence Application (OBIA).
  • Create, Manage, and maintain standard operational performance reports and dashboards.
  • Provide support to ensure the availability and performance of developed reports and dashboards.
  • Provide technical assistance and training to other key staff members.
  • Monitor technology and industry trends for new business intelligence opportunities.

Key selection criteria may include:

  • Demonstrated strategic focus with capacity to shape and drive vision and ability to assume responsibility and accountability for advancing business intelligence implementations         
  • Minimum 08 years of relevant work experience with Oracle BI applications (OBIA)
  • 16 Years relevant qualification along with certifications
  • Experience in the design and implementation of Oracle enterprise data warehouse
  • Adept at the use of BI reporting tools such as Tableau, Board, Power BI, Cognos Analytics, Oracle Analytics Cloud
  • Extensive experience and comprehensive working knowledge of business intelligence tools and data warehouse environments including system administration, database design, dimensional modeling, security, reporting and analytics
  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication (written and verbal) and liaison skills, and well-developed ability to engage and negotiate with internal stakeholders with varying levels of data literacy and technical knowledge, from beginner to expert.
  • Extensive knowledge of business analysis, business process re-engineering and information management practices and protocols including strategic planning processes and change management principles and practices.
