- Oracle Database Administrator is responsible for installation and maintaining number of databases required for development, testing, and production usage.
- Performs the capacity planning required to create and maintain the databases.
- Works closely with system administrators for applications or tools in addition to the Oracle Databases.
- Performs ongoing tuning of the database instances.
- Implements and enforces security for all of the Oracle Databases.
- Plans and implements backup and recovery of the Oracle database.
- Evaluates releases of Oracle and its tools, performs planning along with the application developers and System administrators, to ensure that release upgrade takes place with minimal impact.
- Enforces and maintains database constraints to ensure integrity of the database.
- Create new database users as required. Administers all database objects, including tables, clusters, indexes, views, sequences, packages and procedures.
- Assists with impact analysis of any changes made to the database objects. Regular monitoring of systems, tunes the databases to achieve optimal performance.
Essential Skills Required:
- Candidate having 3 to 5 Years ( Proven experience of Managing Large Scale databases in a Production Environment in Oracle 10g,11g,12c-
- Hands on experience of managing Exadata and experience of Configuration / Troubleshooting and Administration of Oracle Database with RAC and Dataguard™ with Oracle Enterprise Linux.
- Strong database administration Skills including installation, patching HA, backup and recovery etc.
- Strong skills in RMAN, data pump, Export/Import, Hot/Cold Backup. Strong skills in database Performance Tuning.
- Knowledge and experience of Linux administration.
- Good Working Knowledge of SAN.
- Professional working experience Oracle 11g, 12C.
- Partitioning, Oracle Inmemory, Oracle Active Data Guard
Other desirable skills:
- Oracle Certification.Excellent communication skills both verbal & written. Ability to work in a team environment & learn new technologies. Experience in looking after 24×7 environments. Be able & available to work on Production issues after hours or on weekends.
- Experience in working under a production support & pressured environment. Troubleshooting, problem solving and able to drive issues to resolution.
- Experience in performing health checks of database system.
- Be able & available to work on Production issues after hours or on weekends. Experience in working under a production support & pressured environment.

- Experience in performing health checks of database system.Configuration of Oracle Golden Gate and Oracle DB and Audit Vault is a plus.
