We are in search of a JavaScript developer to join our Data Science team and improve our existing development using advanced JavaScript, CSS, D3 and WebGL to optimal design, performance, and quality. Day to day, you will be responsible for all front end aspects, from designing complex interfaces to ensuring a positive user experience by analyzing code. Our ideal candidate has an eye for design and the ability to create clean, sharp, and responsive layouts from designs with HTML5, CSS3, D3, WebGL and JavaScript. The JavaScript developer will join an existing Data science team that’s constantly challenged working with the latest technologies, creating life-changing solutions, and having a great time doing it.
Responsibilities
- Develop new user-facing features
- Build reusable code and libraries for future use
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
- Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end services
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
- Upgradation / Improvement of custom build framework, comprising of JavaScript, CSS, D3.js and WebGL
- Create, build, and consume REST APIs.
- Troubleshooting for current applications and integration issues.
Skills
- Strong understanding of JavaScript, its quirks, and workarounds
- Understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3
- Good understanding of DOM, jQuery and Ext JS
- Hands on JavaScript Development and Performance tunning
- Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
- Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around such issues
- Familiarity with JavaScript module loaders, such as Require.js and AMD
- Must be hands-on D3.js and WebGL core implementation
- Good understanding of browser rendering behavior and performance
- Experience writing unit tests with JavaScript framework.
- Experience working with APIs, either integrating a third-party API or creating your own when necessary.
- Experience with responsive design and cross-platform scripting for desktop/mobile
- Network Analytics experience will be a plus
- Data Science experience will be a plus
