- Junior DBA is responsible for proactive support of multiple Oracle database instances for Test, Training & Production environments along with application development efforts in a team-centered manner.
- Installation of Oracle Databases and softwares.
- Monitoring & maintenance of Test , Training DBs.
- Enrolling users and maintaining system security of Non Production DBs.
- Managing User privileges & Roles.
- Setting up batch jobs for monitoring table spaces & setting up daily & weekly backup using DB Schedulers.
- Managing control files, schema objects, view sequences & synonyms.
- Monitoring System Storage Requirement for different DB environments.
- Assisting Seniors in their daily routine tasks.
- Refreshing Test and Training environment on Request from the stakeholders.
Desired Technical Skills
- Well versed with RDBS concepts.
- Basic knowledge of Oracle RDBMS architecture.
- Understanding of performance tuning techniques used in databases.
- Basic concepts of database procedures, functions, packages and triggers.
- Ability to write queries involving different types of joins.
- Conceptual knowledge of High Availability, Disaster recovery & Replication.
- Knowledge of database backup techniques like RMAN, Hot & Cold Backup.
- Knowledge of different database utilities like datapump, import, export, SQL Loader.
