- Experience designing and developing APIs in large complex system environments
- Experience with SOAP and REST in large distributed systems.
- Java development experience including SOA design principles and best practices.
- Understanding of API Gateway technology
- Expert knowledge of REST + JSON
- Appreciation of API-first design and API frameworks
- Understanding of web security authentication and authorization standards such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and JWT.
- Understanding of API based documentation standards such as Swagger or RAML
- Preferred experience working with an ESB integration framework such as Mule, IBM Integration Bus, Apache Camel
- Preferred experience performing orchestrations and transformations across multiple backend systems using REST, SOAP, and JMS based protocols.
