- Evaluates and tests new software applications according to business and functional requirements.
- Ensuring effective program implementation by ensuring the QA/QC are planned during the project planning phase.
- Perform API level testing, system testing, black box functional testing and UI testing. Comfortable with fast-paced, schedule driven development.
- Applies test methodology, engineering and product knowledge in the design of tests and testing strategies for the analysis and certification of products.
- Plans and conducts the analysis, inspection, design, test, and/or integration to assure the quality for large and complex projects.
- Performs quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements.
- Directs the test phases activity (unit, system, integration, release, user acceptance) of complex (cross functional, multi-site) programs and/or projects to ensure a successful implementation of technology solutions.
- Develops new approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance activities.
- Communicates significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and provides recommended process improvements to management.
- Prepares reports to communicate involvement and results of quality assurance activities to the senior manager.
- Prepares and presents technical and program information to team members and senior management.
- Strong Knowledge of ISO and QMS (Quality Management System) or CMMi.
- Ensures delivery against QA department goals and objectives, i.e. Meeting commitments and coordinating overall quality assurance schedule.
- Provide expertise and leadership on QA solutions that meet or exceed the requirements of both internal and external customers.
- Required skills:
- Must have at least 50% marks in Masters in Computer Science, from some reputed foreign or HEC-recognized institution.
- Must have at least 5 years hands-on post-qualification experience in quality control / quality assurance.
- Must have high proficiency in SQL, PL-SQL, AJAX, XHTML, DHTML, XML, UML, MS Visio.
- Must have profound knowledge of Software Quality Assurance and Software Testing principles and standards.
- Proficiency in test automation tools, test script management tools, QA tools, SCM tools such as QTP, SVN, Test Director etc.
- Black box, regression, load and stress testing, full test lifecycle, including creating/defining/executing/validating/writing test cases from use-cases, test data, test documentation, test plans, test scripts, test conditions, test progress, estimation reports, completion reports, quality checks to improve the robustness and scalability of the applications.
- Must have very good communication, leadership and team management skills.
