Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create and execute learning strategies and programs.
  • Evaluate individual and organizational training needs.
  • Implement various learning methods companywide (e.g., coaching, job-shadowing, online training).
  • Design and deliver e-learning courses, workshops, and other trainings.
  • Assess the success of development plans and help employees make the most of learning opportunities.
  • Conducts annual training and development needs assessment.
  • Develops training and development programs and objectives.
  • Administers spending against the departmental budget.
  •  Obtains or develops effective training materials utilizing a variety of media.
  • Trains and coach’s managers, supervisors and others involved in employee development efforts.
  •  Plans, organizes, facilitates and orders supplies for employee development and training events.
  • Up to date knowledge of trends and methods of trainings in marketplace.
  • Modifies programs as needed.
  • Works effectively as a team member with other members of management and the HR staff.
  • Hire and oversee training and L&D Specialists.

Qualifications, Experience & Technical Competencies:

  • Proven experience as an L&D Manager, Training Manager or similar.
  • Current knowledge of effective learning and development methods.
  • Familiarity with e-learning platforms and practices.
  • Experience in project management and budgeting.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills; sharp business acumen.
  • Ability to build rapport with employees and vendors.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or relevant.
  • 5+ years of proven experience as a trainer.
  • Professional certification (e.g. CPLP, SHRM, CHRP) is a plus.
