1. Develop and Implement People Management and OD Plan: Develop a clear understanding of the people needs and effectively deliver a people and OD plan to maximize the employee’s efficiency and capabilities. Ensure the People and OD Plan supports the wider People Strategy and stays in line with the HR policies and procedures.
  2. Embed Performance Management: Embed and role-model a strong performance management culture and processes. Support and coach staff and managers to create clear appraisal system, annual objectives and KPIs to hold open honest conversations, recognize success and implement performance improvement plans. Introduce and implement a new behavioral competency framework and 360-degree feedback process.
  3. Talent Acquisition: Manage recruitment processes in collaboration with hiring managers; interview candidates for management and senior positions ensuring compliance with standards in resourcing, recruiting, orientation practices, contracting procedures;
  4. Talent Management: Support managers in identifying and maximizing high potential and succession planning through Talent Management. Conduct a clear and concise job analysis and job evaluation exercise to formulate job descriptions and alignment to correct job grades.
  5. Process Improvement: To identify opportunities for performance improvement through review of existing system and suggest solutions by conducting external research into best corporate practices.
  6. Compensation and Benefits: Manage and continuously improve compensation and benefits system, ensuring an appropriate mix of pay, benefits and non-pay rewards in line with principles, framework and national legislation. Contribute to reward benchmarking and to ensure payroll and reward is delivered and communicated timely and effectively.
  7. Employee Engagement: Encourage high levels of employee engagement, including thorough staff participation in the employee survey and multiple activities planned time to time. Work closely with the functional leaders to ensure effective communication in order to build a culture of engagement among employees. (Mentor-Mentee relationship facilitator).
  8. Policies and Processes: To contribute in development of policies and procedures, employee handbook and other documentation in collaboration with the Head of HR. Ensuring policies are kept up to date, effective and in line with current legislation (i.e. employment contracts, HR forms etc.).
  9. Employee Relations: Provide specialist advice and instruction to management and managers on employee relations issues (i.e. disciplinary, grievance, capability, bullying and harassment) in line with the approved policy and national legislation,
  10. People Reporting: Collect, collate and accurately analyze people dashboard and metrics for use within the organizational wide people reporting.
  11. Other role related tasks / activities as required by Head of HR.

    To be successful, you’ll need to be

  1. Master’s degree with Preferably HR Certification from a reputed university/institution.
  2. Demonstrated people management and leadership skills and exposure and experience of working at senior management team level.
  3. Substantial operational experience of working within a busy HR team environment providing timely and high-quality advice and work in all aspects of HR (recruitment, reward, employee relations, employment legislation, learning and development, change management, policies and processes)
  4. Strong knowledge of HR best practices and demonstrated experience of bringing in innovative solutions/ideas to cut down bureaucratic processes’ new practices
  5. Demonstrated experience of leading and effectively delivering people-based projects.
  6. Strong knowledge, understanding and application of labor laws in Pakistan.

Pakistan Single Window (PSW) is an ICT-based system in Pakistan providing a single window for trade. PSW is a facility that allows parties involved in trade and transport to lodge standardized information and documents at a single-entry point to fulfill all import, export, and transit-related regulatory requirements. If information is electronic, then individual data elements need to be submitted only once. PSW will connect relevant government departments with each other and with economic operators like importers, exporters, customs agents, shipping agents, transporters etc, in Pakistan for efficient management of cross border trade. It will provide the ease and transparency in achieving compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, through an on-line facility, that will intelligently handle the information for each transaction without the need to provide same information more than once or to physically visit such government departments. Pakistan has committed to implement various provisions of World Trade Organization’s (WTO) Trade Facilitation Agreement that includes implementation of a National Single Window (NSW) system before February, 2022. Pakistan also needs PSW implementation to overhaul management of its external trade for reducing time, cost and complexity involved to improve its position in various global rankings on competitiveness and ease of doing business.
