• Establish policies and procedures for systems and services

• Install, configure, and maintain multiple servers and workstations, ensuring proper integration with other computer systems

• Manage multiple linked databases to include security, data safety/integrity, disaster recovery, and bulk data import/export procedures

• Perform software installations and upgrades to operating systems and software applications

• Plan and implement system security procedures, to include firewalls, host and client access, file permissions, and user accounts

• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented systems

• Managing Windows and Linux systems, business applications, anti-virus protection, email, and authentication administration

• Daily maintenance and problem resolution, operating system patches and software upgrades, and routine hardware configuration

• Work closely with the application teams to provide integrated planning for operating system upgrades, database upgrades, application upgrades and hardware migrations

Required Skillset:

• Responsible for configuration and maintenance of Windows, Linux, vSphere servers

• Experience in configuration and deployment of DHCP, DNS, WINS, Active Directory and Domain Controller

• Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot Network Infrastructure devices (Switches, Routers, Firewalls, etc.)

• Knowledge of CI/CD implementation with Jenkins, Git, Ansible, etc. Will be a plus

• Experience with On-Premise Cloud infrastructure deployment would be a plus (Kubernetes, OpenShift)

•Sound knowledge about containerization (Docker)

• Sound knowledge of automating the build and deployment of .NET core & micro-services application

• Must be aware of DevOps methodologies

• Sound knowledge in a scripting language would be a plus (Bash, Python, Perl, YAML)

• Professionals’ relevant certification will be preferred

• Knowledge of Databases

• Self-motivated, quick learner and a responsive team player with ability to work under pressure, and deliver quality outcomes

• Excellent written/oral communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

Pakistan Single Window (PSW) is an ICT-based system in Pakistan providing a single window for trade. PSW is a facility that allows parties involved in trade and transport to lodge standardized information and documents at a single-entry point to fulfill all import, export, and transit-related regulatory requirements. If information is electronic, then individual data elements need to be submitted only once. PSW will connect relevant government departments with each other and with economic operators like importers, exporters, customs agents, shipping agents, transporters etc, in Pakistan for efficient management of cross border trade. It will provide the ease and transparency in achieving compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, through an on-line facility, that will intelligently handle the information for each transaction without the need to provide same information more than once or to physically visit such government departments. Pakistan has committed to implement various provisions of World Trade Organization’s (WTO) Trade Facilitation Agreement that includes implementation of a National Single Window (NSW) system before February, 2022. Pakistan also needs PSW implementation to overhaul management of its external trade for reducing time, cost and complexity involved to improve its position in various global rankings on competitiveness and ease of doing business.
