The Paramedical Technician performs screening and prescription of medicines, as well as guiding and educating beneficiaries on health and obstetric subjects; this position is one of the essential pillars of the medical services in the clinics, it has the purpose of maintaining a high level of services offered, and show explicit care and support for beneficiaries;
Responsibilities
- Participate in the smooth functioning of the health facility; propose constructive changes, identify non-conformities and propose corrective actions to develop the facility management system;
- Managing flow of patients and registration; manage patients files from admission to final release;
- Take vital signs and Performing dressings and others paramedics duties;
- Fill in proper documentation during and after the screening;
- Open a dossier for the patient;
- Conduct health education for the beneficiary if needed;
- Performing basic rapid Lab test if required;
- Perform basic consultation in the absence of the doctor and in conformity with MdM guidelines and protocols;
- Issue medical prescriptions in the absence of a doctor and in conformity with Organizational guidelines and protocols;
- leaning and sterilization of instruments on daily basis; and train/supervise medical cleaners;
- Participate in the daily/weekly data entry and computing of the data;
- Supervising the medical cleaners, plan their work and control their output;
- Ensure segregation and safe disposal of medical waste;
- Ensuring patients’ right to privacy and confidentiality is respected;
- With the base pharmacist and the Doctor, Guaranteeing a regular and ongoing supply of drugs and equipment required for maternity activities;
Competencies: Behavioral Flexibility, Service Orientation, Teamwork, and Cooperation.
Languages: Good communication skills in Pashto is essential
English & Urdu are desirable
