A non for profit organization engaged in support of vulnerable communities through its programmes for Orphan kind, Thirst Relief, Emergency Response, Healthcare and Feed Our World in various areas all over the country. Organization requires services of “Programme Manager, duties of that position could be as under but not limited to these:

·        Ensures desired program delivery across Penny Appeal professionally, qualitatively and timely;

·        Oversees the management, implementation and or delivery of all program activities;

·        Shares projects’ progress with the Head of Programmes (HOP), and institutional donors (if any);  

·        Understands the unique cultural, social and political dynamics to which projects may be subject to and work carefully and collaboratively with relevant stakeholders to ensure projects’ success;

·        Ensure the application of cross cultural and cross thematic components in program execution;

·        Embraces the vision and mission for each project and effectively manage the available financial and human resources, including effectively managing relationships with partners/donors;

·        Assumes responsibility to manage, implement and execute all country-wide on-going programmes;

·        Manage program and program support team/s at Head Office and field level under the guidance of the HOP;

·        Provides technical support to program teams (implementation teams) during planning and execution;

·        Ensures process and progress of interventions through timely monitoring visits, documents’ review, spot checks and triangulation and report to supervisor if any change in strategy is required;

·        Monitors program expenditures and budgets to the extent of assigned programs and share recommendations with HOP;  

·        Ensures development of program/Project documents, proposals to secure funds for programs;

·        Closely and regularly coordinate with the HOP for ensuring that agreed targets are achieved within the stipulated timeframe and standard formatted reports are prepared and forwarded in a timely manner;

·        Ensures adherence to Penny Appeal (PA) and specific program policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to the extent of programs overseen by him/her;

·        Maintains primary oversight of the assigned ongoing programs, humanitarian projects, activities and partnerships;

·        Maintains and enhances existing relations with all stakeholders, partners and concerned governmental departments;  

·        Coordinate will government administration, line departments for inclusion of PA programme in Annual Development Plan (ADP) of concerned departments;

·        Coordinate and liaise with line departments for effective planning and implementation of PA Programmes;

·        Prepare annual budget of PA Programme and present it to HOP for finalization and further approval;

·        Ensures budget compliance and annual objectives are met on a quarterly basis;

·        Collaborates with the HOP for identifying problematic areas within the stipulated programs; makes recommendations and offer solutions to the HOP;

·        Submits monthly, quarterly proposals and reports to the HOP or as desired;

·        Stays informed about security, political developments and humanitarian to the extent of program and surrounding areas;

·        Ensure implementation of PA programme in collaboration with partner organizations and stakeholders;

·        Provide support to partner organization through visits, meetings, sessions to orient them on PA working strategies, participatory approach and reporting requirements;

·        Provide support to partners and stakeholders to ensure effective execution of projects at field level and ensure that project implementation is align with PA programme and agreed results;

·        Performs other duties, in collaboration with the HOP, as and when organization is in the need of assistance;

·         Coordinate and liaise with programme partner organizations for effective implementation of PA programmes;

·        Perform any other assignment/duty as assigned by Supervisor/HOP.

·         Can manage 50 plus staff of different projects with diverse backgrounds

Travel Requirement:

Job requires 50% travel approximately to carry out assigned responsibilities within the coverage area (AJK, South Punjab,North & South Sindh, KPK). Must be willing and able to travel.

Required Experience:
