A non for profit organization engaged in support of vulnerable communities through its programmes for Orphan kind, Thirst Relief, Emergency Response, Healthcare and Feed Our World in various areas all over the country. Organization requires services of “Senior Programme Officer (Thirst Relief)”, duties of that position could be as under but not limited to these:

 

  1. Plan, develop, design Water, Sanitation and Hygiene promotion (WASH) projects and execute in field.
  2. Prepare Annual Detailed Implementation Plan (DIP) of Thirst Relief programme based on lesson learnt, ground realities, risk mitigation and incorporation of Contingency planning.
  3. Develop Thirst Relief strategies at grass-root level and support partners in implementation.
  4. Perform field level coordination with District administration, line departments and other stakeholders for assurance of smooth field implementation.
  5. Support partner organizations in developing of implementation plan, project execution.
  6. Sensitize partner organizations and stakeholders on Thirst Relief strategies, Community involvement, plan activities, unique requirements, feedback and reporting of Penny Appeal (PA).
  7. Provide support/guidance to partner organization during implementation of the project.
  8. Develop hygiene promotional strategies, IEC material, awareness raising material and other assignments to design and execute effective hygiene promotion interventions.
  9. Align PA Thirst Relief strategies with state water, sanitation and hygiene strategies and incorporate its requirements in PA Programmes.
  10.  Ensure quality of work, process and progress of interventions through effective support monitoring mechanism with partners and stakeholders.
  11. Engage stakeholders of the programme at all level and document case studies, success stories, lesson learnt and gaps in the project on regular basis.
  12.  Support/Guide Data entry/Feedback assistant in finalizing that Thirst Relief Pictorial feedback and beneficiaries data of all water facilities is checked and verified against all parameters and ready for donor submission.
  13. Prepare periodic Result Oriented Reports (monthly, quarterly, Annual) and other periodic reports based on field verifications and forward it to the PM& HOP.
  14. Support management decision making and compliance with reporting requirements by preparing and sharing project quality updates/reports.
  15. Support planning, budgeting, implementing and monitoring of project, tracking use of financial resources in accordance with PA rules and regulations.
  16. Provide inputs to assess project performance to identify success factors and incorporate best practices into project work.
  17. Ensures monitoring framework/reporting and tracking format is updated weekly using consolidated information from project staff.
  18. Preparation of analytical documents/formats on areas evaluated, effectiveness and impact of the project.
  19. Provide feedback to the PM, Head of Programmes and CEO on project strategies and activities.
  20. Provide support to Water Quality Analyst, in conducting Water quality tests in field and preparation of reports.
  21. Document bottlenecks, problems and issues/gaps, and proposes effective solutions.
  22. Document and analyze innovative strategies and new approaches.
  23. Provide support in emergency relief activities, visit distribution sites to check distribution and other items availability in relation to the number of beneficiaries, commodities and quantities distributed.
  24. Review feedback received from field and ensure its standard as per SOPs for submission to PM.
  25. Quality and quantity checking of construction projects as per agreed standards.
  26. Support partners organization in finalization of construction projects within budget.
  27. IPR submission and approval from relevant departments.
  28. Perform all other task assigned by the line manager or Leadership.

Education:

Master in Social Sciences, Environmental sciences or equivalent.

Essentials:

1.      At least 5 year of RELEVANT experience (in WASH sector with reputable organizations).

2.      Have sufficient hydro-logical, Hygiene promotion strategies and filed level implementation knowledge of remote areas including south Punjab, central and south KP and Southern Sindh.

3.      Have proven experience of managing WASH projects at Supervisory/managerial role.

4.      Experience of working with partner organizations will be an asset.
