Due to the broadcast nature of wireless communication, security of information through wireless network is a critical challenging issue. Physical layer security (PLS) is the first security solution that exploits the properties of wireless channel such as interference and gain of the channel, to protect the confidential messages against the intruders.
Traditional security techniques are limited by the processing power of the wireless nodes, whereas PLS can achieve communication secrecy without requiring computationally expensive cryptographic operations. This research intends to improve the PLS in relay networks such that the message conﬁdentiality and authentication can be achieved in the presence of malicious eavesdroppers. The relay networks emerge as a promising technology to enhance the performance of wireless systems. The current works have studied extensively the problem of power and relay allocation for secure transmission in cooperative networks. The emphasis of this work will be on maximizing the secrecy rate (SR) of individual user by optimizing the relay based transmission through optimal power loading over source, relays and jammer nodes in addition with the suitable relay assignment. Convex optimization techniques are used to obtain the optimal algorithms.
My final year project was related to the energy conservation technique. As we all know that energy crises are growing rapidly nowadays. This project efficiently utilizes the renewable energy resources (solar and wind), thereby reducing the amount of energy wastage. It can be used as a backup for load shedding and ensure the continuous supply of electricity to backward areas.
