In 2017-18 The PEP Foundation will be launching its Impact Network program in Pakistan. The impact Network will conduct a series of grand challenges in education in collaboration with Universities and National Incubation Centers.
The PEP Foundation is seeking a Senior Program Officer to help steer PEP's contribution to the development of social entrepreunership as solutions to critical education problems. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with a very senior leadership team , providing real inputs and to make meaningful impact in people’s lives.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Managing Trustee and will play an critical role in leading the implementation of a rapidly developing program. We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and entrepreneurial individual who is excited by the opportunity to play a central leadership role .
The Senior Program Officer will build on the PEP Foundation's priorities as identified in the strategic plan for 2017-18. The role will entail:
- Supporting PEP Foundation Trustess on all aspects of program implementation, building and managing a growing team of staff, non-resident fellows, and consultants
- Promoting national implementation of the Impact Network Program by Overseeing and contributing to ‘grand challenges’ on Education Problems.
- Overseeing exsisting PEP Programs including SAFE and SSBC's at Universities in Pakistan
- Managing grants and assisting with fundraising.
- 20-25% Travel within Pakistan required
For this role, the ideal candidate will have:
- 3-5 years’ relevant work experience
- Required education: BA/BS/MA/MS
- Demonstrated program management experience , including programs that are national in scope or similar development sector work experience with INGO's
- Experience of shaping strategies for implementing solutions relevant to the Education SDG targets at national, regional or international levels
- Skills in developing issue-based networks and partnerships,
- A background in research, analysis, and policy, OR innovation, social entrepreunership, and business with a track record of working with social entrepreuners
- Fluency in English is required, along with outstanding written and oral communication skills.
