JOB PURPOSE

This position is responsible for execution of production activities as per Production Plan/as directed by relevant Team Leader/Production Executive. This position is also responsible for the on the job training of junior operators at production processes of Concentrate operations.

 

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Capable of independently handling of 60% of manufacturing operations, so must have secured over 1200 points (Total=2000) on FLT Career Progression Model (assessment based on Business processes and People competencies).
  • Responsible for execution of production activities in his assigned process areas as per approved quality standards.
  • To act as On the Job Trainer for new/junior team members at assigned process areas in compliance with Manufacturing Process Rotation Plan for frontline staff.
  • Ensure compliance with all the Good Documentation Practices (GDP) for all the manufacturing related documents, such as Production Log Sheets, Pre/Post Checklists, CIP Log Sheets and Reprocessing Sheets etc.
  • Responsible to maintain assigned area of responsibility during and after batch preparation as per AIBI and Quality standards to keep state of readiness for all the audits.
  • Ensure strict compliance to all the PepsiCo EHS Standards while executing manufacturing related activities. 
  • Implement standard requirements & take all necessary actions in area of responsibility to Sustain ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 certification.
  • Capable of conducting self-Inspections of process and utilities areas to comply food safety requirements.

 

CONTEXT

This position has to manufacture and deliver quality products as per plan. The growth in sales is increasing the workload thus escalating the need to have resource capable of independently handling various manufacturing activities as per FLT Career Progression Model. Additionally, reporting and documentation requirements are also increasing and have to be complied with at all times. With increased focus on GMP, Quality, HACAP, AIBI, GCS and HSE workload in production has increased requiring greater support to Production Team Leaders from their team.

The position must also exhibit initiative and capability to maintain self-effort in improving self-performance and skills.

 

JOB BOUNDARIES

The position has to work within the company policies and PepsiCo procedures / guidelines defined. The position has to follow the specified Manufacturing & Filling Instructions in order to ensure production and delivery of quality products to customers. The position has to consult the Team leader(s) or the Production Executive regarding day-to-day decision making to ensure that only correct and quality decisions are made at all times.

 

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

 

  • Diploma of Associate Engineer with 3 - 5 years of practical experience Or H.S.C. (Intermediate) with 8–10 Years of work experience in process industry
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Good understanding of PepsiCo applicable standards in production such as AIBI, Quality, HSE and GCS
  • Good Verbal Communication with reasonable writing skills
  • Capability to work in a team environment and under pressure
