Pharmalife Pharmacy is looking for a qualified and responsible Pharmacist with a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm-D) degree to oversee the daily retail pharmacy operations. The pharmacist plays a crucial role in verifying prescriptions, ensuring the safe dispensing of medicines, and maintaining proper storage standards. This position requires strict adherence to Drug Regulatory Authority guidelines and all legal requirements applicable to pharmacy practice. The pharmacist will not manage a team but is expected to work independently with attention to detail and a commitment to patient safety.
The ideal candidate brings at least one year of relevant experience in a pharmacy setting and a thorough knowledge of pharmaceutical laws, drug interactions, and patient counseling. The pharmacist must ensure that all processes within the pharmacy operate smoothly and comply with health and safety regulations. Accuracy, responsibility, and ethical conduct are essential in this role, as the pharmacist is the final checkpoint before medicines reach patients.
Responsibilities
- Verify and dispense prescriptions accurately following prescribed dosages and patient instructions.
- Ensure proper storage conditions for all medications according to regulatory standards and manufacturer guidelines.
- Maintain full compliance with Drug Regulatory Authority requirements and other relevant pharmacy laws.
- Provide professional advice and counseling to patients regarding medication usage, side effects, and interactions.
- Manage inventory, including checking expiration dates and replenishing stock as necessary.
- Document and report any adverse drug reactions or medication errors promptly according to pharmacy policies.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure all operational procedures align with legal and safety standards.
- Assist customers in understanding over-the-counter medicines and recommend suitable options where appropriate.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient records and ensure secure handling of sensitive information.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient medication therapy outcomes.
