Job Description
At the moment we are looking for an experienced software engineer (remote candidates also work) must have 7 years of experience on PHP/ Codeigniter / WordPress /Joomla etc. We are looking for a bright, energetic, reliable individual who can work independently and has the ability to handle multiple projects. Must be a very good programmer in web technologies and product development, and clear in communications.
Required Skills
- Experience of working complex PHP/MYSQL/MVC and REST API based Projects.
- Experience in WordPress development Plugins, Themes, Add-ons.
- Strong understanding of PHP back-end development
- Ability to develop new plugins as per requirements.
- Strong knowledge of PHP web frameworks (such as WordPress, CodeIgniter, Laravel, CakePHP, etc.)
- Understanding of MVC design patterns
- Knowledge of shopping carts e.g.: Magento, WooCommerce, OpenCart is Plus
- Plus Point if you have Experience of Java and CSS Preprocessors (SASS, LESS, etc.)
- Experience of working HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap, JS, JQuery.
Responsibilities
- Maintenance of existing CodeIgniter and WordPress based platforms
- Ensuring high-performance and availability of the platforms at all times
- Management of all technical aspects of content management platforms
- Designing and implementing new features and functionality into WordPress themes and Plugins
- Formulating an effective, responsive design and turning it into a working theme and plugin
- Clear concepts of OOP, design patterns, coding standards, etc
- Ability to think critically, conduct research and creatively solve problems.
- Extensive command over code repositories management, specially GIT hub; and in in DevOps model
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
- API Integrations with third parties
- Managing back-end services and the interchange of data between the server and the users
- Development of all server-side logic, db maintenance and release into cloud
Skills & Qualifications
- Understanding of client-side scripting, js frameworks, incl jquery
- Strong understanding of PHP back-end development
- Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
- Knowledge of testing across multiple browsers, platforms, and devices
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (such as Git, SVN or Mercurial)
WordPress Required Skills
- A minimum 4-year experience of PHP programming, MySQL, XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript, strong security experience
- Security through plugins & Cpanel of the site along with speed optimization.
- Assistance in fixing bugs and providing technical support wherever required.
- Strong Experience with WordPress themes, plugins and hooks from scratch with great design and focus on UI/UX and strong understanding of PHP back-end development.
- Extensive knowledge and experience of building WordPress CMS websites using the best practice & de-facto standard plugins.
- Experience working with WordPress at a PHP code level
- Creation of custom post types
- Creation of plugins/widgets written to conform with the WordPress coding standards
- Creation of clean, logical, well-documented and re-usable code
- Theme/Template integration
- Knowledge of WordPress Network (Multisite) beneficial
- Experience creating multi-lingual websites Advantageous
- Knowledge and experience of web accessibility
- Good understanding of cross-platform and cross-browser
- PHP5, MySQL5, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
- Development of all device responsive & adaptive sites.
