JOB PURPOSE
Undertake data science projects through the application of mathematical modelling, machine learning, problem structuring and big data analysis to solve complex business problems. The role will require strong skills in computer science, mathematics, statistics and creative problem solving.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Communicate and collaborate with key stakeholders to translate complex business problems into data science projects. Work with senior data scientists to assess the validity of the solutions and the excepted business value.
Knowledge/Skills:
MS or Bachelor's with minimum 2 or 3 years of experience, in a relevant field such as data science, computer science operations research, mathematics, science, data mining, artificial intelligence, applied statistics, machine learning.
Experience:
- More than 2 years’ work experience in at least 2 of the following disciplines:
- Machine learning and predictive modelling
- Data mining
- Mathematical programming and optimization.In-depth knowledge of at least 2 of the following:
- Statistical analysis tools such as R, Weka, Knime etc.
- Programming languages such as Python, Java, C/C++
- Experience in machine learning, artificial intelligence, and data science
- Experience in stats/machine learning algorithms, such as SVM, logistic regression, deep learning, etc.
- Proficient understanding and usage of relational SQL (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL) databases and data structures.
