- Assit the deputy manager IA in formulating governing documents of Internal Audit.
- Assit in the preparation of detailed risk assessment for the audit assignment by identifying process/area, associated risks, and control in place, residual risks and assign risk scores in accordance with internal audit methodology.
- Assist in the preparation of deatiled enagagement work program (EWP) by identifying audit procedures, indvidual responsibilities and sampling methodologies, giving due consideration to risk assessment.
- Ensure the execution of engagement in line with EWP and budgeted timelines, by supervising the work of audit analyst and providing valuable input.
- Review audit activities completed by audit analyst relating to system understanding, process flow diagrams, indetified control points and assessed residual risks in the system.
- Conduct compliance testing and test of controls by ensuring compliance with applicable statutes, rules, policies, Procedures and standards.
- Prepare detailed audit observations to be included in the audit report, for review by DM.
- Review audit documentation for adequacy, relevance and reliability.
- Perform analysis of quarterly financial statements and evaluation of closing process for review of Chief Audit Executive and subsequent presantation to the Audit Committee.
- Supervise recurring audit activities as per annual audit plan.
- Conduct other audit work as directed by the CAE, in line with Internal Audit Plan.

PIBT has been setup as the Country’s first terminal for handling Coal, Clinker and Cement on build, operate and transfer (BOT) basis at Port Qasim Authority. Port Qasim is located Fifty Kilometres from Karachi, on the coast line of the Arabian Sea. It has a forty five kilometer long navigation channel which provides safe and convenient navigation for vessels. Port Qasim handles more than 40% of Pakistan’s cargo. PIBT has built capacity for handling upto 12m tons of Coal and 4 million tons of Cement & Clinker per year, which can together be further enhanced upto 20 million tons per year. PIBT has been set up for handling and delivering coal to Power and Cement plants by utilizing the rail, road and sea networks. PIBT has become an integral part of the coal supply chain upto the entry gates of power and cement plants located across the country.
