Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Retouch product, fashion editorials, beauty portraits, food, and lifestyle imagery
- Provide expert retouching services for a variety of projects as needed across all channels: Holt Renfrew website, social media, email campaigns, in-store signage, print advertising etc.
- Responsible for processing raw imagery, editing images, file output, maintaining quality of images, understanding of production needs and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Ensure that all images are reflective of our company's standards of quality, color consistency and overall brand aesthetic
- Remove imperfections and create consistency in product and model imagery including but not limited to: detailed colour correction, pathing and masking, advanced cloning and precise close cutting
- Able to edit specific styles such as but not limited too Moody Styles, Wedding Styles, Bright White Style of Editing
- Provide clear and effective communication to the Photo Studio Manager, updating on progress, key dates and deadlines to ensure the smooth delivery of assets
- Organized and detailed management of assets, particularly maintaining consistency with file naming conventions
- Ensure colour consistency across all images, matching digital imagery to physical samples and adjusting imagery from different cameras and sets
The ideal candidate:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in retouching, ideally in wedding photography and indoor studio settings
- Excellent interpersonal skills; a team player who is able to act as both a leader and an individual contributor as required
- Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (specifically: Photoshop, Lightroom) and working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator.
- Proven organizational skills, possessing a high level of attention to detail.
- Strong time management skills with the proven ability to work under pressure with tight and changing deadlines.
- Understanding of print, digital and file specifications
- Proven, high level of competency with colour management, colour space and RGB to CMYK conversions.
- Passionate about fashion and luxury and wedding photography
- Candidates must include a portfolio or samples of previous completed work
