An established and market leading security and construction business is looking for a qualified Financial Accountant. The Company is growing rapidly and is seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic and commercially minded Financial Accountant taking ownership of all financial reporting and controls.
You will be responsible for the regular financial reporting for the business. The reporting will include Board Packs, monthly management accounts and ad hoc analytical reports.
You will be comfortable in formalising policies, procedures and processes to deliver accurate and timely internal and external financial reporting. Prior experience carrying out Audits and acting as the lead in dealing with external auditors is also key.
You will have a proven track record of managing Finance teams, delivering high quality management reporting in a timely manner. This will be coupled with prior experience of training and building strong finance teams, with the ability to work under pressure and vetting all reporting issued by the finance department is essential to the role.
Advanced Excels skills are compulsory for this role, you should have the ability to efficiently run the existing reports and build on the work to generate further efficiencies, processes and reporting improvements. Knowledge of ODBC reporting and MS Query is high beneficial and the ability to learn systems quickly and be a fast Excel with an advanced knowledge of Sage is essential. Experience of migrating accounting system would be beneficial.
The role is for a qualified professional accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) with solid post PQ experience. Strong knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP is essential. Experience in the construction industry is essential to ensure you can provide leadership and support to the Project and Management Accountant, ensure tax and regulatory compliance and financial transparency to the Management.
