Job Description


The incumbent will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the Top Management in the HSE Policy and Guidelines issue.
  • Supporting the Top Management in the Organization roles and responsibilities definition, for what concerns safety aspects.
  • Supporting the Top Management in the HSE Management System standard issue.
  • Ensuring, in accordance with the corporate guidelines, the implementation, updating, review and auditing of the Company HSE Systems.
  • Monitoring the effective implementation of appropriate Safety and Environment System procedures and provide for their updating in line with changes in Legislation and Company Directives.
  • Providing for motivation and familiarization of all Company personnel respecting the importance of complying with Company system procedures and all Safety equipment provided.
  • Assisting the Commercial, Engineering and Operations Department in their dealings with Clients in all issues concerned with Health and Safety at work.
  • Conducting safety audits both internal and external.
  • Taking part in accident / incident investigation.
  • Carrying out analysis of accident / incident statistics, identifying trends and suggesting improvement plans.
  • Providing technical support to Senior Management on any safety related subjects.
  • Carrying out any in-house safety training.
  • Carrying out safety audits on Sub-contractors.
  • Liaising between Clients on safety related issues.
  • Safety related engineering input into new projects and modification programs.
  • Participating in HAZOP meetings prior to procurement and installation activities.
  • Performing Risk Assessment.
  • Preparing Health and Safety documentation for new tenders.
  • Providing Safety support and advice, including supervision on preparation of plans and procedures for initial contract start up activities.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environment/Engineering or equivalent with additional professional qualifications in HSE and Fire & Safety Management Systems
  • 10 or above years’ experience in Health, Safety and Environment and Fire Services.
  • Working knowledge in Health, Safety and Environment Management Systems, Environmental Discharges, Incident Command System, Incident Investigation by using Tripod Beta Tool, HSE Auditing Techniques, HEMP, Radiological Safety.
  • Experience at Power Plant Construction Site with Consultancy firm will be preferred.
