Technical Expert - Building / Energy / Industrial

The Technical Expert (Building) will be responsible for the following relevant tasks:

• Provide strategic direction and tactical vision for the initiatives to be taken by the technical services department.
• Plan, design, and execute EE technical programs in building sector
• Set measurable goals; develop prioritized work plans for new program/project initiatives in accordance with charter of duties for the Authority.
• Ensure a strict compliance with core provisions in building sector.
• Capacity building and professional support to other departments wherever and when necessary
• Develop Sector Specific Energy Efficiency Specific Strategic Plan / Business Plan related to building sector.
• Contribute in effective implementation of work plans. Monitor and evaluate the in-house as well as the outsourced activities to ensure contractors compliance with project plans and specifications.
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of activities/projects.
• Provide technical input in developing Standards and institutionalizing Labeling Regime for Appliances used in domestic, commercial and government sector buildings.
• Developing capacity building programs and awareness campaign for building sector stakeholders to promote Energy Conservation Building Code Compliance and Associated Mechanisms.
• Develop content and training program for energy auditors, architects and engineers focusing on energy efficiency attributes.
• Support Development and implementation of National Scheme for Buildings Certified Energy Auditor and Managers.
• Create linkages and interface with multinational donors for technical assistance programs and to promote energy efficiency investment in building sector.
• Assist in developing PC-1, Concept Notes and Feasibility Studies for the EE&C initiatives in building sector.

The Technical Expert (Energy) will be responsible for the following relevant tasks:

• Provide strategic direction and tactical vision for the initiatives to be taken by the technical services department
• Plan, design, and execute EE technical programs in power sector
• Set measurable goals; develop prioritized work plans for new program/project initiatives in accordance with charter of duties for the Authority.
• Ensure a strict compliance with core provisions in power sector.
• Capacity building and professional support to other departments wherever and when necessary
• Develop Sector Specific Energy Efficiency Strategic Plan / Business Plan related to power sector and thermal utilities such as Boilers and Furnaces.
• Contribute in effective implementation of work plans. Monitor and evaluate the in-house as well as the outsourced activities to ensure contractors compliance with project plans and specifications.
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of activities/projects.
• Provide technical input in developing Standards and institutionalizing energy audits of power sector i.e. captive power plants.
• Develop recommendations for improving the efficiency of power generating units particularly thermal power plants.  
• Develop content and training program for energy auditors, power sector technicians focusing on energy efficiency attributes.
• Support implementation of National Scheme for Certified Energy Auditor and Managers
• Development of Energy Standards and Labelling Scheme for Gas Based Appliances. Assist in developing PC-1, Concept Notes and Feasibility Studies for the EE&C initiatives in energy sector.

The Technical Expert (Industry) will be responsible for the following relevant tasks:

• Provide strategic direction and tactical vision for the initiatives to be taken by the technical services department.
• Plan, design, and execute EE technical programs in Industrial sector including cement, fertilizer, textile, sugar and paper.
• Set measurable goals; develop prioritized work plans for new program/project initiatives in accordance with charter of duties for the Authority.
• Ensure a strict compliance with core provisions in all industrial sector.
• Capacity building and professional support to other departments wherever necessary
• Develop Sector Specific Energy Efficiency Specific Strategic Plan / Business Plan related to industrial sector.
• Contribute in effective implementation of work plans. Monitor and evaluate the in-house activities as well as the outsourced activities to ensure contractors compliance with appropriate plans and specifications.
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of activities/projects.
• Provide technical input in developing Standards and institutionalizing Labeling Regime for Industrial Appliances
• Developing capacity building programs and awareness campaign for industrial sector to promote Pakistan Energy Label appliances.
• Develop content and training program for general electricians, technicians and technical engineering staff in industry focusing on energy efficiency attributes.
• Support implementation of National Scheme for Certified Energy Auditor and Managers
• Create linkages and interface with multinational donors for technical assistance programs and to promote energy efficiency investment in industrial sector.
• Assist in developing PC-1, Concept Notes and Feasibility Studies for the EE&C initiatives in industrial sector.

The Technical Expert (Transport) will be responsible for the following relevant tasks:

• Provide strategic direction and tactical vision for the initiatives to be taken by the technical services department.
• Plan, design, and execute EE technical programs in transport sector i.e. shifting towards more clean, efficient and sustainable fuels, mechanism for vehicle tunings and energy efficient transport systems.
• Set measurable goals; develop prioritized work plans for new program/project initiatives in accordance with charter of duties for the Authority.
• Ensure a strict compliance with core provisions in transport sector.
• Capacity building and professional support to other departments wherever and when necessary
• Develop Sector Specific Energy Efficiency Specific Strategic Plan / Business Plan related to transport sector.
• Contribute in effective implementation of work plans. Monitor and evaluate the in-house as well as the outsourced activities to ensure contractors compliance with project plans and specifications.
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of activities/projects.
• Provide technical input in developing action plans for the transport sector.
• Developing capacity building programs and awareness campaigns for consumers to promote energy efficient & conservation in transport sector.
• Develop content for training program to be conducted for vehicle technicians and focusing on energy efficiency attributes.
• Support implementation of National Scheme for Enlistment of Vehicles Tuning Workshops.
• Create linkages and interface with multinational donors for technical assistance programs and to promote energy efficiency investment in transport sector.
• Assist in developing PC-1, Concept Notes and Feasibility Studies for the EE&C initiatives in transport sector.
• Assist and develop programs for effective implementation of the EV policy by engaging all relevant stakeholder
