Poverty Eradication Initiative (PEI) seeks a motivated and energetic Senior Human Resources Executive with a minimum of five years of professional experience. The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional interpersonal skills and plays a critical role in facilitating talent acquisition, employee relations, and performance management processes. This role requires detailed knowledge of HR Information Systems (HRIS) and expertise in setting and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Although this role does not involve managing a team, the Sr HR Executive works closely with various departments to align HR strategies with organizational goals, ensuring legal compliance and fostering a positive work environment. The Sr HR Executive contributes to the continuous development and implementation of policies related to employment and working conditions to maintain adherence to legal frameworks. The role includes assisting in the performance management processes to drive employee engagement and organizational effectiveness. This position is pivotal in supporting the organization's mission by ensuring that human resource practices uphold high standards, build a motivated workforce, and support strategic initiatives to further the goals of Poverty Eradication Initiative.
Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate all stages of the talent acquisition process including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Administer and maintain the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) to ensure up-to-date and accurate employee data management.
  • Support employee relations by addressing workplace issues promptly and fostering a positive and productive employee environment.
  • Participate in the development and review of employment and working conditions to ensure full compliance with labor laws and regulations.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of performance management systems, including setting, monitoring, and evaluating employee Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Collaborate with management to identify training needs and support employee development programs aimed at enhancing skills and career growth.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and alignment of HR strategies with organizational objectives.
  • Provide timely HR reports and analytics to support decision-making processes within the organization.
  • Promote organizational values and culture by supporting HR initiatives that encourage inclusivity, engagement, and high performance.

Poverty is the root cause of every problem in the society, has no doubts worse affects on human life. Traditional gender roles in Pakistan especially in NWFP, which remains indulged in tribal culture, define the woman’s place as in the home and not in the workplace, and define the man as the breadwinner. Consequently, the society invests far less in women than men. Women in NWFP suffer more from poverty of opportunities throughout their lives as compared to other provinces. Economic vulnerability is a key factor in the rise of poverty in Pakistan; vulnerability also arises from social powerlessness, political instability, and ill-functioning institutions. Corruption and political instabilities such as various separatist movements in Baluchistan and Waziristan resulted in reduction of business confidence, deterioration of economic growth, reduced public expenditure, poor delivery of public services, and undermining of the rule of law. The root causes of current unrest in whole country especially FATA and FRS are linked with the absence of the opportunities for youth in all sections of life in general and particular in livelihoods. Active participation of the youth in decision making and development of the area is neglected and never given a chance to decide their fate. This made youth of the area frustrated and restless and compelled them to take part in the unhealthy activities. Poverty and the lack of modern curriculum have proved destabilizing factors for Pakistani society as these causes our youth to be exploited by religious organizations banned by the government to run schools and produce militant literature. Eradication of poverty cannot be brought about by charity, but needs first and foremost empowering the poor, focusing on women, and tapping their tremendous potential.
