Job Overview:
As a Freight Specialist you will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of our freight and customs clearance processes. You will ensure compliance with relevant regulations, oversee PTA approval processes, handle bank-related litigations, and manage temporary import and associated formalities. Your knowledge and expertise will be crucial in facilitating the seamless movement of goods and minimizing delays in our supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate customs clearance processes for both import and export shipments
- Ensure compliance with all relevant customs regulations and guidelines
- Oversee the PTA approval process for shipments requiring special permits or authorizations
- Handle bank-related litigations, including document preparation and communication with relevant financial institutions
- Manage temporary import and associated formalities, ensuring accurate documentation and timely processing
- Liaise with carriers, customs brokers, and other relevant parties to ensure the efficient movement of goods
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of customs regulations, trade agreements, and industry best practices
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum 5 years of experience in freight management, customs clearance, and compliance
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations, PTA approval processes, and temporary import formalities
- Experience handling bank-related litigations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word
