MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Develop and update highly detailed and structured success stories, press releases, press kits and other event-specific materials
· Manage and update FMD’s presence in social networking websites (technical text, photos, Twitter feeds, Facebook placements)
· Assist technical staff in formulating FMD’s messaging and themes for external communications
· Assist the Chief of Party in developing and designing FMD’s quarterly and annual progress reports
· Design and edit technical reports produced by FMD staff
· Implement branding and marking oversight in compliance with USAID rules and regulations
· Develop, expand and maintain relationships with the press to promote coverage of FMD’s activities through interviews and placement of written materials
· Develop an annual strategic communications plan to increase the visibility of the reforms that FMD is responsible for having achieved
· Conduct an annual assessment of the FMD’s image in Pakistan and report on way to increase and improve FMD’s media penetration
· Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· At least five years of work experience in public relation/communication field
· Minimum bachelor’s degree is required
· Excellent oral and written English language skills
· Experience in developing communication strategies
· Extensive experience in organizing publicity campaigns
· Experienced in the use of social media
· Photo journalism experience is a plus
· Ability to act as a liaison with senior GOP counterparts, business executives and civil society actors to shape their understanding of FMD’s work
· Work experience with international organizations is a plus
· Familiarity with USAID communications and branding guidelines desired
