MAIN PURPOSE OF POSITION
- Co-ordinate all activities required to direct and control incoming components quality. In particular to review product quality for individual assembly lines.
- Review QC processes and recommend improvements as necessary
- Ensure that quality control documentation meets customer requirements.
- Supervise inspections, reports and the documentation and collect and file the required Quality Records.
- Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting a visual and measurement test, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials
- Reject all products and materials that fail to meet quality expectations.
- Measure product dimensions, examine functionality and compare the final product to the specifications.
- Approve all finished products by confirming specifications and conducting required tests
- Return products for re-work if needed and complete documentation to confirm re-work
- Document and update inspection results by completing reports and logs
- Keep measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calling for repairs.
- Maintain safe work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations
- Recommend improvements to the production process to ensure quality control.
- Resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner.
- Co‐ordinate and control day to day operations of department
- Ensure zero defects reach assembly lines
- Ensure timely checking of components
- Co-ordinate with store and management to ensure vendors can meet their supplies on time ensuring no compromise on quality
- Co-ordinate vendor visits with management to ensure all vendors meet our quality standards
- Immediate notification to Management of any Quality Control issues.
