PreCon Logics is actively seeking a detail-oriented Construction Estimator with 1 to 2 years of experience to join our growing team. This role is focused on providing accurate cost estimation and pre-construction services to construction companies, contractors, and subcontractors in the United States. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting project feasibility assessments by analyzing project drawings, specifications, and schedules to prepare precise and competitive bids. Attention to detail and a strong understanding of construction processes and materials are essential to successfully fulfill the positions responsibilities.
As a Construction Estimator at PreCon Logics, you will collaborate closely with project teams to ensure cost-effective solutions while adhering to budget and project timelines. The job requires the ability to interpret construction drawings and contracts accurately and to manage complete quantity takeoffs and cost breakdowns. This role does not include team management responsibilities, making it an ideal position for candidates looking to specialize and grow their skills in pre-construction estimation within a dynamic startup environment.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze construction drawings, specifications, and proposals to determine project requirements and scope.
- Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
- Develop and maintain accurate project budgets and schedules in alignment with client expectations and project timelines.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to collect necessary information for bid preparation.
- Compile and submit competitive and comprehensive bid packages ensuring all client requirements are met.
- Update and maintain cost databases and benchmarking data to improve the accuracy of future estimates.
- Monitor and track changes in project scope to adjust cost estimates and inform stakeholders promptly.
- Support the pre-construction team by identifying potential cost risks, savings opportunities, and constructability issues.
- Maintain consistent communication with clients to clarify project details and resolve questions relating to estimates.
- Maintain compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies throughout the estimation process.
