We are looking for well experienced Plant Breeder must have 02-03 years of rich experience and must qualified with MS/BS-Hons. in Plant Breeding and Genetics. The candidates must have the following attributes;

  • Conducting research on plant breeding methods, new technology developments, and new product ideas.
  • Testing new plant varieties in different growing conditions to determine how well they perform in nature.
  • Identifying traits in plants that are desirable for commercial use, such as disease resistance, increased yield, or improved growth rates.
  • Studying the genetics of plants and plant breeding techniques in order to develop new varieties of plants with desired traits.
  • Providing information about new varieties of plants to farmers, landscapers, gardeners, or other professionals who may use the plants in their work.
  • Identifying plant diseases and creating strategies to prevent them from spreading to other plants.
  • Developing new strains of plants that meet specific criteria, such as increased productivity or improved taste and texture of fruit or vegetables.
  • Selecting the best plants to breed based on desired traits and characteristics.
  • Developing breeding strategies to produce plants with the desired characteristics, including selecting parents with desired traits that can be passed on to offspring.
  • Evaluate germinating seeds / seedlings, Review and update SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for germination testing as per established procedures/rules on standard, vigor, tetrazolium, and herbicide bioassay tests on all submitted species.
  • Adopt innovations in Digital Technology and provide feedback for automation engineering on new tools and systems for lab development for better testing;
  • All other tasks assign by the management.
