Full-Stack Software Engineer (JavaScript)

Primefit is seeking a skilled Full-Stack Software Engineer proficient in JavaScript and TypeScript to develop and maintain dynamic web applications. This role demands a strong backend foundation using Node.js, Express.js, and PostgreSQL, combined with frontend expertise in React, Next.js, and modern styling frameworks such as Tailwind CSS. Applicants with up to three years of professional experience who are passionate about coding, debugging, and integrating APIs will thrive in this position. The engineer will contribute to building performant, scalable applications by collaborating closely with product teams and applying best practices in database management and UI/UX design. This position does not involve managing a team but requires strong individual ownership and initiative in both frontend and backend development. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Sequelize, including raw query execution for migrations and debugging, along with familiarity with state management libraries like Redux or Zustand. They will also have proven abilities in SQL optimization, query profiling, and integrating various APIs such as Stripe, Firebase, and App Store Connect to enhance application functionality.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain scalable and efficient full-stack web applications using JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, and Express.js.
Design and optimize PostgreSQL databases, execute raw SQL queries with Sequelize, and perform database migrations and debugging.
Implement responsive user interfaces using React, Tailwind CSS, and React Native, ensuring cross-platform compatibility and smooth user experience.
Manage application state effectively with Redux or Zustand, enhancing UI responsiveness and state consistency across components.
Debug and troubleshoot issues across frontend and backend systems, ensuring reliability and performance.
Optimize SQL queries and database interactions to improve application speed and scalability.
Integrate third-party APIs including Stripe, Firebase, and App Store Connect to add payment processing, analytics, and deployment functionalities.
Collaborate with product managers and other stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions and deliver high-quality software.
Use Git for version control, participate in code reviews, and follow agile development methodologies to ensure clean and maintainable code.
Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously enhance development practices and project outcomes.
