Experian’s direct-to-consumer (D2C) team is looking for a Product Manager to lead the strategy and execution of membership communication and digital support experiences. This role is pivotal in managing the infrastructure that drives trust, engagement, and retention for tens of millions of Experian Credit Services users. The successful candidate will oversee high-volume alert and notification systems, as well as scalable digital support workflows, with a focus on improving notification engagement and opt-in rates. These efforts support the delivery of personalized credit alerts, fraud signals, and self-service education, all aligned with Experian’s mission to help consumers achieve financial progress.
You will work closely with a cross-functional team based in India, collaborating with product, business, customer support, and marketing teams to craft an engaging member experience. The role demands an agile mindset, the ability to work quickly, and a hands-on approach to solving user challenges. While experience in the financial sector is helpful, a strong passion for digital products is essential. As a collaborative team player, you will deliver customer-centric products that generate meaningful value.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the product roadmap and backlog for the Help Center and Alerting Systems, prioritizing initiatives that maximize member value, platform reliability, and stakeholder needs.
- Develop and deliver solutions that increase notification opt-in rates, enhance member engagement and trust, improve self-service effectiveness, and boost operational efficiency.
- Collaborate across multiple time zones to gather, refine, and align stakeholder requirements.
- Analyze user problems, preferences, and needs through an Experience Architecture lens to guide product decisions.
- Translate strategic objectives into clear user stories with detailed business context, edge cases, and acceptance criteria.
- Monitor product performance using internal analytics tools and apply data-driven insights to iterate and improve continuously.
- Support product discovery by generating new ideas related to membership notifications, communication personalization, and digital support channels.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related technical field is preferred.
- 3 to 5 years of product management experience, ideally within fintech, SaaS, or consumer platforms.
- Proven ability to define success metrics and measure product impact using data.
- Experience working in Agile environments, including writing detailed user stories, use cases, and edge scenarios.
- Demonstrated success in shipping consumer-facing features at scale.
- Familiarity with notification systems such as email, push notifications, and SMS, along with experimentation frameworks like A/B testing.
- Experience collaborating with globally distributed engineering teams, particularly in co-located models.
- Background in subscription products, financial wellness, or regulated industries is advantageous.
