Job Timings: Anytime between 1:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Location: Preferably in Islamabad (it's a Remote role)
We are looking for a Sr. Laravel developer with proven experience working on large web applications and sites who is as comfortable with the front-end as they are in the back-end. You will be familiar with the latest techniques and technologies in web development and you will be keen to stay up to date. You understand what makes for a great user experience while balancing that with highly performant server side code. You’ll bring ideas to each project and successfully advocate those ideas.
Essential skills
- Experience of architecting and building websites and applications using Laravel 5+
- Expert-level knowledge of modern PHP, including Composer and PHP-FIG standards and modern web standards with HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript
- Very strong understanding of OOP principles and practices
- Very strong MVC and ORM principles and practices
- Proficient in MySQL with complex SQL queries
- Strong JavaScript/jQuery/Bootstrap skills
- Version control and Git workflow
- Deployment processes
Job Requirements:
- Experience with Laravel
- 5-7 years of prior Experience as Laravel Developer
- Adept at working on the Linux on the command line and using tools such as Vagrant and Virtualbox for setting up development environments
- A high level of understanding of MySQL, database design and writing performant queries
- Ability and desire to quickly learn and apply new technologies and a working knowledge of other programming languages outside of PHP
- Strong understanding of the SOLID object-oriented design principles
- Experience with Redis
- An understanding of how to build great user experiences
- Unit Testing
- REST and SOAP APIs
